Creating stick figure comics: Easy, right?!

Guilty secret: Even though I ask folks to create a 2-minute stick figure comic in nearly every workshop and class I facilitate, I have a really hard time sitting down at a sticky note and scribble a comic myself. “Hypocrite!” comes to my mind.

So I decided yet another trick which was if I was unhappy with how the stick figure image was going, I could toss it aside and start with a fresh note. This method worked in finally finishing a comic but I had a mountain of crunched up sticky note attempts.

I realized afterward that one gift I was not giving myself that I ALWAYS give others was a 2-minute countdown clock to limit the pressure I put on myself to be perfect and create something that looks good.

Next time I use a count down clock as well as the stickynote “do-over” option. Fingers crossed it gets easier. :o)
